(1) Degreasing the screen. When making screen printing plates directly with sensitization emulsions, the screen plates must be degreased with a degreasing agent prior to plate making. However, household cleaning powders or detergents must not be used.
(2) Drying of the screen plate. After the screen plate has been degreasing treatment, it should be rinsed with clean water, cleaned, and all the water on the screen plate removed with a gas brush, and then placed in an oven at 30-40°C to be thoroughly dried.
(3) coating photosensitive adhesive. The diazo emulsion is evenly wiped onto the screen plate using a suitable applicator, usually wet to wet.
(4) Drying of the film plate. The film plate coated with the emulsion must be placed horizontally in a dry box with the printing face down and the drying temperature must not exceed 40°C.
(5) Film replenishing coating. In order to eliminate the unevenness of the photosensitive layer of the film, a layer of photosensitive adhesive can be added to the printed surface of the film.
(6) Drying of the film plate. Dry again in the same way as for the first drying. The drying temperature must not exceed 40 °C.
(7) Exposure of the film plate. The exposure of the film plate is performed with a suitable light source, such as a metal halide lamp. The exposure time is determined by a graded exposure method.
(8) Development of a film plate. With a suitable water pressure spray gun spray development, the graphics will be completely washed out, pay attention to view the photosensitive adhesive manufacturer's instructions on the development requirements.
(9) Drying of the film plate. Wipe the excess water on the plate gently with a cloth. If it is a large number of plate-making production, it is necessary to use special equipment to suck in moisture. Finally, the screen plate is dried in a drying oven.
(10) Revision of the film plate. Pinholes and blemishes on screen printing plates can be covered with fillers for revision.
