The plates are 950mm long and 12cm wide. I’ve tried lay-flat tubing and bubble wrap, but they’re too slow and not strong enough for what I need.

Thank you for reaching out today. I completely understand how stressful it can be when you're under pressure and need a solution fast. While bubble wrap is a common choice for many items, I agree that it might not be the best fit for your specific case.

Lay-flat tubing is great for customizing bags, but again, for something as large and heavy as your metal plates, you need something sturdier. That’s why I recommend using postal tubes.

Postal tubes are often associated with protecting artwork or documents, but they have so many other uses. They provide excellent all-around protection and are reusable, making them a smart and cost-effective choice.

For your 950mm x 12cm metal plates, I’d suggest going with extra-large postal tubes. They’ll keep your plates safe during transport and can be used multiple times if needed.
