After pressing the SR key, I navigated to the height adjustment interface using the M key. During the test, I selected relative altitude, based on the elevation of Hongqiao Airport at the time of departure.
During the aircraft's ascent, cabin pressure is unstable. Although the altitude indicator shows significant changes, it doesn’t reflect the actual height accurately. At this point, the plane was around 5 kilometers high, and the cabin display showed about 1 kilometer. The temperature displayed on the watch was also affected by body heat, making it inaccurate.
In the evening, at May Fourth Square, the temperature was around 25°C, and I felt a bit cold. Since the watch is always worn on the wrist, the seaside location might be near sea level, which caused the relative height value to drop compared to the airport. This experience confirmed that the relative height function works well.
When the watch is placed in an atmospheric environment, its readings tend to stabilize after some time.
While hiking Mount Lushan, the watch remained on my wrist throughout the trip. When I reached a reservoir at 159 meters, the readings were consistent.
When the watch was submerged in water, the temperature gradually dropped, and the height reading decreased.
When placed on the water surface, the temperature didn’t change much compared to the bottom of the water, but as air pressure changed, the height increased. From my personal analysis, it seems that height changes are not strongly related to temperature.
I tested different water levels to see how depth and surrounding conditions affect the watch’s height readings. The difference between depths wasn’t very noticeable due to water pressure variations.
After removing the watch from the water and placing it back in a natural environment, the data returned to normal. At 239 meters, I tried a slightly deeper water level again.
At a deep water level, after stabilization, the height reading dropped below 100 meters. The phone’s temperature didn’t change much, as the afternoon sun raised the water temperature, but the watch’s reading was still quite surprising.
After taking the watch out, I immediately placed it in a deeper water level. The height reading couldn’t be visually observed anymore.
Five minutes later, I retrieved the watch with a branch. To my surprise, it showed a negative value, reaching over 500 meters. The specification only mentioned a waterproof rating of 3, but it didn’t clarify the depth. I’m unsure if the discrepancy was due to water depth, but the watch returned to normal when exposed to air.
For the waterproof test, the watch’s waterproof rating isn’t clearly defined, so I conducted my own tests. I used fresh water instead of seawater.
For the drop test, I chose a shallow water surface with many stones. The watch fell into the water and hit the stones directly, increasing the impact intensity. I dropped it from one meter above the water surface.
The new model is well-balanced thanks to the material used. It’s 14g lighter than the previous version, but the downside is that it’s not very resistant to dirt.
