Abstract: A simple and fast visual colorimetric method for the hardness of ion-exchange water was studied. At pH = 1 0, when using chrome black T and methyl red as the coloring agent, when the hardness of the demineralized water is measured in the range of O ～ 2.0 × 1 0-5 mol / L, the results are consistent with the EDTA complexometric titration method.
