Three-Inch System Design

1. System Composition and Principle

1.1 Main Lecture Room: Equipped with an OS-300 echo cancellation microphone, it connects to both the audio-video codec and sound amplification system. The OS-300’s two audio cables are connected to the codec and external devices, with one USB port providing 12V power. This setup allows for either desktop or ceiling installation, ensuring clear voice capture and remote communication.

1.2 Off-Site Classroom: The off-site room uses a KO-280 omnidirectional high-fidelity microphone for full-range sound collection. It connects to the OS-700 digital audio host, which processes mixed signals, performs echo cancellation, and supports direct speaker and wireless microphone connections.

2. System Technical Requirements

2.1 Main Lecture Room

2.1.1. The main speaker requires clear and accurate voice pickup. Therefore, a high-fidelity noise reduction microphone with echo cancellation is essential. The OS-300 features a limited sound source acquisition range of 3 meters to minimize interference from other sources.

2.1.2. The OS-300 can be installed on a desktop or mounted on the ceiling near the lecturer for optimal sound capture.

2.2 Off-Site Classroom

2.2.1. The focus of the remote classroom is on interactive Q&A. To ensure complete coverage, rationalized microphone placements are used based on the room size, eliminating any dead zones.

2.2.2. With multiple microphones at different ends, the OS-700 digital audio host performs calculations for encoding and echo cancellation during bidirectional communication.

3. Equipment Selection

3.1. The main lecture room is recommended to use the OS-300, which offers echo cancellation, high-fidelity noise reduction, lightning protection, and reverse polarity protection for stable analog signal performance.

3.2. For the off-site classroom, the KO-280 high-fidelity microphone is suggested, paired with the OS-700 digital audio host for sound processing. The OS-700 can also handle incoming signals, perform echo cancellation, and process audio coding.

3.2.1. The OS-700 can also integrate with an external wireless microphone to capture remote participants’ voices during interactions or teacher lectures.

3.2.2. The OS-700 has three 3.5mm audio output ports, making it easy to connect directly to sound amplification equipment.
