This technology can not only produce halogen-free phosphorus-containing flame-retardant cable materials but also halogen-free non-phosphorus flame-retardant cable materials, making it difficult to develop technologies. For the halogen-free and phosphorus-containing flame-retardant cable materials, a new method of synergistic flame retardation of nano-magnesium hydroxide low-filling and red phosphorus was adopted for the first time, and the surface modification technology was used to further weaken the network structure of nano-magnesium hydroxide and enhance the dispersion; Halogen-phosphorus flame-retardant cable material adopts the high filling technology of micron magnesium hydroxide. Two different surface-treated micron magnesium hydroxides are used in innovative ways to ensure halogen-free, high flame-retardant, and heat-resistance. At the same time, it ensures good material strength and good processing fluidity, so that the difficult balance between the two can be solved.
The halogen-free flame-retardant cable material successfully developed by Beijing University of Chemical Technology can be comparable to imported products in terms of performance, but the price is lower than that of imported products.
