Pre-press adjustment and computer color separation of color tone printing patterns for knitted fabrics

For the printing characteristics of knitted fabrics, Photoshop graphics software can be used to adjust the images printed before printing. Large areas of highlights and dark areas should be adjusted appropriately to reduce the brightness of the highlight areas and increase the brightness of the dark areas. The specific operation steps are: a. Use Adobe Photoshop graphics software to open the image you want to print. Use your mouse to click on the "Image" button, click on "Mode", select "CMYK Color", and set the image to CMYK. b. Click the menu bar "Image", then click "Adjust", click "Curve", open the curve dialog box, as shown in Figure 1. In Figure 1, the abscissa is the input information of the image, and the ordinate is the output information of the image. When the line in the coordinates is a 45* line, it indicates that the output image information is completely faithful to the input image information, and this phenomenon does not exist in practice. For example, the tiny gradation dots printed on the knitted fabric will be lost, so that the printed highlight region will obtain little or no input image information, and the printed large dots will be connected due to osmotic, so that the dark tone region Enter the image for more information. Therefore, the relationship between the input and output of the image is not linear. According to the printing properties of the knitted fabric, the ratio of the input and output of the image can be adjusted in advance (see FIG. 2) so that the printed image information matches the original as much as possible, and the actual input and output are approximated. Linear relationship. Use the mouse to click on the curve in the curve dialog box, drag and click on the point, you can adjust the shape of the change curve to achieve the purpose of adjusting the input and output proportional relationship. Fig. 2a is suitable for image adjustment with large bright-tuning area, and Fig. 2b is suitable for image adjustment with darker adjustment area. For images with strong contrast between light and shade, very few images at the middle level, such as backlit images, snow scenes, etc., the result of curve adjustment is shown in Figure 3. Of course, adjustments must be made moderately, and practice must be repeated. Otherwise, the ideal knit product of color tone printing cannot be produced. Color tone printing is also called four-color printing. Color tone patterns are printed on four printing patterns (CMYK). The black flower version is the main factor affecting the light and darkness of the image, followed by blue. In addition to adjusting the overall light-dark level relationship of the four colors of CMYK, the Curve dialog box can also use the spot color channel to adjust the color and level relationships of each CMYK color, as shown in Figure 4. Figure 4a is adjusted to reduce the black output and Figure 4b is adjusted to increase the red output. It can also be dragged into a curve style to adjust the distribution of color levels in the image frame. After image adjustment, color separation was done using Adobe Photoshop graphics software. The specific operation is (take Photoshop 7.0 as an example): Click the "File" option in the menu bar, select "Print Options", the "Print Options" dialog box will pop up, the dialog box will contain the print size adjustment of the printed image after scaling. The print position is determined. Among them, the most important one for the color gradation color separation is the “other options” in the dialog box, as shown in Figure 5/\Figure 6 “Halftone screen” dialog box for the CMYK printing paste for the cyan printing version of the color separation Set, the number of screen lines is 11.8 lines/cm (30 lines/inch), the screen angle is 75 degrees, and the dot shape is circular. Others, such as magenta, yellow and black, are still doing the same, but the angle of the screening should be different. In order to avoid the occurrence of moiré when the various screens print color tone patterns, the screening angle between the screens should be as large as possible. The screen angle can only be distributed within 90*, generally 0 o, 15 o, 45 o, and 75 o. The screening screen between dark screens should use the largest screen angle, and the yellow screen should have the smallest screen angle. The number of screen lines depends on the fineness of the surface of the knitted fabric, which is determined by the mesh number of the selected screen. The number of screen lines is generally 1/3 to 1/4 of the number of screen meshes selected. For example, a screen size of 200 mesh (imperial system) needs 23.6 lines/cm (60 lines/inch) screen density. After the parameters are set, they are loaded and stored.
