The recycling of Tetra Pak has always been a problem in the field of garbage recycling. Milk drink boxes like Tetra Pak (or soft packs) usually contain about 75% paper, and the rest are plastic and aluminum films, which cannot be directly pulped. In the past, people didn't know that this kind of paper was often mixed in waste. The paper was transported to the waste paper processing plant, but the ordinary paper mill could not handle it completely and had to pick it out and throw it away.Someone took a look at the material of the Tetra Pak, and compressed it into a plastic wood material instead of a part of the board's function. However, this has changed the function of raw materials, the added value is very low, and the recycling price has remained high.China's tetracycline recovery rate has been hovering around 10%, which is half of the world average and 1/3 of the European level.
The principle of Tetra Pak is where to go and where to return from resources. Yang Bin, vice president of Tetra China, said that if the paper, plastic and aluminum can be separated and recycled separately, resource utilization can be maximized.
In fact, this technology is not complicated. It is only necessary to construct a hydraulic pulper and a set of aluminum-plastic separation equipment to separate the aluminum-plastic screening slag after pulp extraction. This treatment process has undergone technical demonstration and production practices, the entire process does not produce secondary pollution, fully meet the requirements of environmental protection. However, the nature of the product determines that this can only be done by small plants. The Chinese government discourages the construction of small paper mills because of environmental concerns. Existing paper mills also like to use US waste paper better than domestic waste paper. .
Because of the unprofitability, no one in the country was willing to recycle Tetra Pak, seeing high-quality long fibers from northern Europe and other places sent to landfills or burned as fuel.
In recent years, as consumer awareness of environmental protection has increased substantially, Tetra Pak, one of the major manufacturers of composite paper packaging, has felt pressure. As a result, they decided to take the initiative to seek out small paper mills that could work with them and support them technically and financially to strive for the recycling of Tetra Pak.
Our strategy is to take the lead and increase the size of the abandoned Tetra Pak processing industry. Then we must take further steps to use the market's strength to promote the recycling of Tetra Pak. Tetra Pak has been looking for paper mills that are willing to cooperate with each other across the country, lending them to each other, helping them to open up production and marketing channels, expanding the Tetra Pak collection network, and striving to eventually become self-financing.
We hope that through our own efforts, we will bring other industries together to participate in environmental protection. Yang Bin said that only the various industries will take action to promote the sustainable development of China's environmental protection industry through the establishment of a sustainable industrial chain through the use of industry associations.
