Application of POP Ink on Aluminized Paper

POP ink technical characteristics and performance effects The technical characteristics of Color Crown POP inks are mainly good adhesion performance, excellent drying performance, high gloss, good transferability, high film strength, abrasion resistance, high temperature resistance (160°C), and bright color. The advantages of POP ink over other inks The main advantage of POP inks over other inks is that other inks cannot be printed on vacuum aluminized films, gold and silver cardboards, films, synthetic paper, and various non-absorbent materials due to adhesion and drying problems. Therefore, when printing non-absorbent materials, POP ink must be used. In addition, compared with UV inks, the advantages of POP inks are as follows: First, the price is only half that of UV inks, and the colors are brighter than UV inks and are not easily cracked. Second, POP inks can be printed with a common offset press. Unlike UV inks, they are equipped with a high-power light curing machine. Third, printers that print POP inks do not need to be equipped with special ink rollers, blankets, blister covers, _ water, etc., and UV inks are different. All consumables need to be dedicated and the price is more expensive than POP inks. Therefore, using POP ink has a certain price advantage. Problems to be aware of during use In the process of using POP inks, the minimum amount of dampening water should be controlled. The pH is generally between PH5-6. The dampening water temperature cannot be too high, otherwise it will cause emulsification, generally between 10 and 15°C. In the case of adding desiccant or other auxiliaries, the addition amount must not exceed 2%, and the vehicle speed should not be too fast, and the best control is at 8000-10000 PCs/h. The temperature and humidity of the printing shop should not be too high. Otherwise, the moisture on the plate will increase, resulting in emulsification. Generally, the temperature is controlled at 25 to 28°C and the humidity is about 60%. POP ink market prospects With the continuous increase in the use of vacuum aluminum film, gold and silver cardboard, film, synthetic paper and various non-absorbent materials in the market, it also brings new opportunities for the promotion and expansion of POP inks. Before the manufacture of general Korean Crown POP inks, the sample must be sent to an authoritative testing center to check if the metal content of the ink exceeds the standard. Only after the test is qualified can the products be mass-produced so as to protect the physical and mental health of consumers. Crown POP ink can be said to be a safe and non-toxic green ink. At present, the color crown POP ink is gradually being accepted by the printing industry, making a modest contribution to the packaging and printing industry. Reprinted from: Ink Information
