Recently, South Africa's start-up 3D printing company Fouche 3D Printing recently launched its second generation of giant 3D printer Cheetah 2. The 3D printer is large enough to hang a hammock that can sleep on its frame. Fouche also shared the design files for this car jack. In addition, the jack was printed in 3D with ABS plastic pellets (not our usual wire) for a total of three hours. This device consists of a main beam, a support arm and two hinge pins. The entire unit was assembled with some M6 bolts and nuts, and Fouche used a M12 threaded bar to provide support. “What's amazing is that this plastic jack held the car show for a whole day before we took it down!†Fouche said. “Although I found that there are still some issues that need to be redesigned, it is very good as the first prototype.â€
According to the pictures provided by the company, we can see that the 3D printed jack successfully lifted a four-door sedan off the ground.
